About Us
What is Inspiration Station?
Inspiration Station is a traditional Montessori school serving the Wichita area families for 20 years.
We offer two programs for your child.
A Preschool Program and a Parent-Tot Class
What will Inspiration Station offer?
Your child will be inspired to want to learn in a loving, respectful, consistent, engaging and fully equipped educational environment.
- Environment: Bright, beautiful, healthy, environmentally friendly building
- Outdoor area: The lush green turf on our playground presents a clean, safe space for children to run and relax. There is playground equipment suitable for young toddlers up to age six with a path for tricycles. We have a sandbox, painting area, water activity table and other activities in our outdoor shed.
- Work time: Freedom to choose activities in the environment
- Presentations to individuals and small groups in all areas of the room
- Group time:
A time for singing, moving, as well as exciting group lessons that enhance language development and your child’s knowledge in Music, Art, Science and Geography

Parents receive a video at the end of school that captures special moments of their child’s learning. Inspiration Station offers three parties throughout the year for parents to mingle with other parents and watch their children sing songs and/or engage in their favorite activities.
What Is Montessori?
The Montessori "method" is based on the idea that children have all the qualities that are needed to develop themselves. If they are allowed to develop fully, they will not only bring happiness to themselves but will be the kind of people who will want to serve mankind. It is a philosophy in which the child learns best within a social environment that supports each individual's unique development.

How Does Montessori Help a Child Develop?
In a Montessori environment there are a diverse set of Montessori materials, activities and experiences, which are designed to foster physical, intellectual, creative, and social independence. In the Montessori classroom children are free to walk around the room and choose materials and ask for demonstrations that they want. The Montessori classroom is very hands-on. It emphasizes learning for all five senses, not just listening, watching, or reading. Children learn at their own pace through an exciting process of discovery, leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and love of learning.
